8 tips for an amazing Movember moustache

Just a few more days to go until the end of Movember. We thought that this would be a great moment to share some moustache tips with you. And who could do this better than JACKZ, the specialist in men’s care products? Read their 8 tips for an amazing Movember moustache!

1. Let it grow, grow and grow

You are well on your way, but you still don’t have that big moustache you were hoping for. The first tip we can give you is, don’t worry too much about it. Most moustaches you’ll see – and those that participate in moustache competitions – have been cultivating their facial hair for at least a year. So no worries and just let it grow.

2. Use a moustache comb

Within two weeks after you’ve started growing your moustache, you should have been using a moustache comb. Already? Yes, this helps you grow your moustache hairs in the right direction. That makes your moustache look more natural and will make it easier to use styling products like moustache wax.

3. Don’t use an (electric) shaver

This is a very common mistake. A good moustache has a straight line. With an electric device or blades you could lose control and shave off too much. And gone is your moustache! So stick to scissors or a single-edge shaver if you want to trim your moustache. If you have any doubts, visit a real barber. He can definitely help you.

4. Don’t use any acidic facial cleaning products

Pay attention when using acidic facial cleaning products to fight, for instance, acne. These products can make your moustache change its colour. So make sure it doesn’t get in contact with your moustache.

5. Don’t touch your moustache

This tip is for your entire face and your moustache in particular. Keep your fingers off your face to prevent bacteria ending up on there. Your upper lip may start itching when you’re growing your moustache, but you have to prevent bacteria from entering your pores. This can lead to ingrown hairs and will make your moustache look like a pig’s tail. So even if it’s tempting, stay away from it!

6. Use a moustache wax

Moustache wax is especially advisable when your moustache gets longer and will lose the battle with gravity. This product will also help you when your moustache hairs are hard to put in place. In this way you can style them the way you want.

7. Ignore your moustache critics

There will always be people complaining about your moustache. Ignore your moustache critics! You are doing this for a cause and/or because you enjoy having a moustache. Keep going and be a gentleman!

8. Chill out with other moustached dudes

Growing your moustache may feel weird at first, especially when it’s your first time. You may get a few remarks from people close to you that can make you doubt. But keep going and chill out with other dudes with moustaches. You will see how cool that is. Having a moustache will suddenly be normal and you will even get a few good tips. Good company is always nice.

On November 29th Jackz will offer an exclusive care package to the Mr. and Mrs. Movember Run and the person with the best outfit! So it pays off to dress up like your favourite Movember hero!

Good luck and keep going! With hairy salutes, Team JACKZ.
